In this talk Pr Viasnoff will present a new class of human bile duct organoids that recapitulate the developmental process in vivo from ductal plate formation, lumenogenesis, and anastomosis into mm-long tubes. He will show how the approach is scalable and how hundreds of such organoids can be grown in individual compartments. He will also show how the growth of the bile duct can be followed using optical coherence tomography imaging. He is looking for potential collaborations to apply the system as a disease model.
